Film Nomination!

I am delighted to announce that our film Living the Tradition, an enchanting journey into old Irish Airs has been selected for the 3rd Edition of the CONSONANCE Music & Dance Film Festival.
The Film Festival Event will take place in the MovieScreenPro Screening Room on April 10th, 2020 and starts at 11:00 AM PDT / 20:00 CEST.

The festival is a live-online private and invitation-only Event.The selected films are screened one after another according to the festival schedule in the Screening Room
Only registered attendees can enter the Screening Room.
According to the Festival Rules, one of the Festival Award is an Audience Award based on the festival attendee voting results in the screening room. So, please do come and attend the event to raise our chances to win the Audience Award.

Featuring outstanding singers, actor-musicians, clowns and circus acts along with a full chorus and orchestra, this boldly ambitious production takes place in a contemporary Cork funfair in which a fantastical travelling troupe of clowns and musical performers materialise to enact their play-within-a-play drama.
This production will turn the Everyman – street entrance, foyer, hallway and auditorium – into a pulsating and dynamic fairground environment in which audience and artists joyfully co-mingle.

Other Cage related events taking place on Friday 27 January, in University College Cork:

On Friday afternoon Quiet Music Ensemble and Quiet Club perform a lunchtime concert starting at 1.10pm in The Glucksmans Gallery, UCC, followed by Branches; a seminar exploring the works of John Cage involving renowned collaborators & composers, including John David Fulleman, Alvin Lucier, Pauline Oliveros, Danny McCarthy, Mary Nunan, Jennifer Walsh, Evangelia Rigaki, Martin Iddon and John Godfrey. The seminar will take place between 3pm and 6pm in the Ó Riada Hall, Department of Music, Sunday’s Well Road.
