Other Info
“This is the cello as you've never heard it before.  Ilse de Ziah takes traditional Irish melodies and gives them a deep and fabulous transformation.  Sometimes rock ballad, sometimes irresistibly foot stomping, Ilse's solo show is utterly captivating and moreish.  Best of all are her own arrangements of the slow Irish airs - love songs and laments - sonorous and aching on her mellow instrument.  The cello produces melody and harmony so that sometimes you think you're listening to a whole band.  At other times a single haunting line says all that music can ever say.  Through it all Ilse's vibrant personality carries you along and transports you to a magically emerald musical landscape.”

Film nomination

I am happy to say the film Living the Tradition, produced with filmmaker Maarten Roos was nominated for the first WorldFilm.com Online festival. A festival of independent films.

We have been having a great response on Amazon too, with thousands of views. There were over 6000 views in June when we had our last stats! Have a look and read the reviews and watch if you haven’t already. We re-made the original to be shorter. It works beautifully. I do encourage you to go and write a review too so even more people watch it. Thanks!

 Watch now online!

Of course the directors cut is a wonderful long journey, and if you still use DVD’s and love the cello it is well worth getting!
